A Photo a Day

http://mfphoto-a-day.blogspot.com
I've been thinking about doing this for awhile.
I want to start doing 'photo a day' type posts.
Lots of people do things like this,
from "a photo a day" on blogs
to "a video a day" on youtube, etc.
Basically, I'd just post a photo every day that I've taken that day.
"But Matt, you already take lots of photos and post them here!"
Yes, I already take and post LOTS of photos. But for those, I usually throw lots of photos together into one big entry of photos. And it's usually only when something exciting goes on (birthdays, trips, etc), or when I'm bored.
This would be different.
It would be simple. Just ONE photo a day.
No matter how boring the day is.
Or if the photos I take that day suck or not, etc.
I'd post a photo a day.
Photography wise, pushing yourself to take photos every day helps you grow.
Archive wise, it's always nice to look back and see what I did on so and so day, so having a photo for EVERY day to look back on would be fun.
And people/friends/etc might have fun with it too, seeing a moment of my day, everyday.
I've wanted to do this for awhile, but I've been iffy about starting because my days are pretty boring. I didn't want to start this project, and end up just posting boring photos every day. So I've been waiting. Thinking maybe I'd start it when my life wasn't as boring? But what if this project goes on for a year? or 2 years? I can't expect every day to be exciting. So I might as well just jump in now and start with it.
And really, my boring days are good for this project. It'll force me to take the camera out more often. Force me to take photos more, whether it's with my SLR or camera phone. And even if the day is boring, that will make me have to think more about what I want to take a photo of. Turn something boring into something photographic for the day. Which will help my photography grow.
I will be posting my "photo-a-day" entries at:
