Photoshoot with Beau around St. Augustine went well.

We got about 250 shots in, both afternoon and evening/night,
before it started raining and we called it a night.
Lotsss of photos to go through.

Here's a sample though I've thrown online so far.

We have another shoot planned for downtown Jacksonville on Friday.

Interesting visual journey into downtown Jacksonville's past. They edited together historic photos with modern photos of the same locations to show kind of a 'ghostly merge' of the two times, with a caption under them about what is seen. Very nicely done. Kind of sad to see what we've lost though.

Even kids who weren't part of the riot were targeted.
Trapped on a staircases, unable to go up or down, and tear gassed. crazy!

Austins Bday! (photos)

This past weekend was Austins birthday.

We stayed at a hotel all weekend..
where we basically locked ourselves up,
playing The Beatles: Rock Band the whole time. =D

So most of the photos I have from the weekend, are of us unpacking it.
Because after that, game controllers were in our hands the rest of the time. hah.

First though, we headed to the hotel lobby and stocked up on coffee.

Then played lots of Beatles!

The next day, Austins nephew, Alex, came over.
He loves the Beatles as well.

So we all hung out, ate snacks and played Beatles!

More coffee. Kept us going all weekend.

It's "out for delivery" right now.

It's almost hereeee! hehe

EDIT: OH! It just arrived! Yay!
This weekend = Austin's birthday hotel weekend!
We'll be locked up in it playing Beatles all weekend probably. =)

Roaming St Augustine

On Sunday I went roaming St. Augustine, FL.
To Ripley's Believe It or Not museum, then to the old fort.

Reminds me that, it's almost Halloween. YAY!

You walk down a pathway, and the walls around you are spinning.

I took the photo above with a flash.
In reality, the walls are glowing under a blacklight as they spin.
So really, it looks more like this:

On thee way out, at the goft shop, Nephew ot a harmonica.
While we decided where we were going to go next, he sat outside playing it.

Hot, sunny day.

We headed to the old fort on the water next.

Took this as we were walking to the entrance.

The fort I''m tlaking about is the Castillo de San Marcos,
a Spanish built fort located in the city of St. Augustine, Florida.
Construction lasted twenty-three years, being completed in 1695.

The fort was built of coquina, a type of shellstone indigenous to the area.

The fort was also used as a prison, including where it kept Indians from 1875-1887:

This area is interesting. It's very small, you can barely stand up in it without
hitting your head. It wasn't even known to exist until a cannon fell through from
the walkway above, opening it up. Upon closer look, there were skeletons all in it.
No one is sure who the skeletons are though, or why they were there.

"Have guitar, will travel".

I passed by this guy while out and about today. I took this from the car as we passed him.

When I got to where I was going (to a family members house),
it ended up, this guy showed up a few minutes later.

He chatted to me, saying he just came from the guitar shop.
He was getting a new guitar pick.

Turned out, he knew my family members.
He stops by there frequently to play them a tune..
either on his guitar, or on their piano.
